Requirement
Safelo is a personal payment tracking application that leverages AI technology to automatically scan receipts and summarize expenses, providing users with a comprehensive and organized overview of their spending. The client required a user-friendly mobile platform capable of integrating OCR and AI functionalities to streamline payment tracking.
Background
Prior to this project, users had limited tools for efficiently managing and documenting personal payments. Manual tracking was time-consuming and prone to errors. Safelo aimed to simplify this process through automation, making it easier for users to monitor and analyze their expenditures seamlessly within a mobile application.
Objective
The primary objective was to design and develop a fully functional mobile application that integrates AI and OCR technologies to automatically scan, document, and summarize expenses from receipts. The platform needed to be intuitive, responsive, and capable of handling secure and accurate financial data for users.
Solution
Phase 1: Assigned a dedicated team including a Software Project Manager, UI/UX Designer, and Mobile Application Developer.
Phase 2: Conducted a feasibility study of online OCR tools and AI integration.
Phase 3: Completed a month-long UI/UX design phase, obtaining client approval before development.
Phase 4: Developed the mobile application using Google OCR and GPT-3 APIs for automated receipt scanning and intelligent expense summarization.
Phase 5: Delivered the fully functional mobile application within three months, providing users with an intuitive and efficient platform for payment tracking.
